Title: Al's ancestor Giacinta di Marco was the daughter of Luigi di Marco and
Filomena Crivelli. Filomena Crivelli was born on June 22, 1835, and
was the daughter of Antonio Crivelli and Maria Vincenza Ficca (who
were married on April 2, 1828). Antonio Crivelli was the eldest son
of Francesco Crivelli and Domenica Olivieri. Antonio's sister, Rosa
Maria Crivelli, married Antonio d'Ulisse on April 10, 1824, and they
were the parents of Giovanni d'Ulisse (my ancestor) and Pantaleone
d'Ulisse (Dan's ancestor). So there you have it... we can all trace
back to Francesco Crivelli and his wife Domenica Olivieri.

Teti, Maria Giuseppa (b. 6 FEB 1874, d. 21 APR 1943)
Note: Information from Italia (Italina) Croce during visit by Albert Porreca31 July 2001 stated that Angelo Porreca had a third wife, MariaGiuseppa Teti, and had four children with him. One was Mariano Porrecawho married Italina. Per Statum Animarum 1931 (or so) Maria Giuseppawas the head of household living on Contrada Sologna (Pennadomo?) withson Mariano and his wife Italina Croce and their daughter Maria, afterthe death of her husband Angelo.

An earlier statum (1889) shows Maria Giuseppa living in the samehousehold as my grandmother Camilla Teti! She is the nipote (niece?)of Nicola, Camilla's father. Maria Giuseppa's father is the deceasedRosario.

Per an email from Angela Di Berardino 9-17-05, "Maria Giuseppa Teti'sMadrina (godmother) was Luisa (di Antonio) Aspromonte"

Text: OK, early Christmas present - here's what I found:
1) Angela Porreca died March 30, 1926 in Torricella, age 76
2) Rosa Ficca, born June 18, 1856, died Dec. 24, 1888 (married Oct.
15, 1874)
3) Giacinta di Marco, born June 25, 1860, died April 14, 1899 (
married March 31, 1889, not Feb. 17, 1889). Father Luigi.
I had her mother as Filomena Crivelli, which may have been my mistake.
But I found only several Filomena Ficcas as women born from 1837 to
1844 - no Filomena Crivellis at all. What do you have?
4) Maria Giuseppa Teti, born Feb. 6, 1874, died April 21, 1943
(married Nov. 4, 1899). Parents were Rosario Teti and Maria Luigia
Tavani.
Some of this you have:
1) Mariano born dec. 30, 1910, married to Italina Croce January 18,
1930
2) Maria born April 10, 1903
3) Filomena born March 28, 1914 in Hazelton, PA
4) Nicola - can't find
There were no children born (that I could find) from 1899 through
1902.
Former husbands of the wives I will have to find at the Archivio in
Chieti when I go next week, plus Mariano's military record.
Other info:
1) soprannome - Chisse di Cruvello - family of Franchino Teti
- Chisse di Amadi - family of Ersilia Piccone
(this is Elio Porreca's grandmother who just died at 92 years (husband
was Porreca)
2) the Contrada name of Purgatoio is CORRECT. Purgatorio is NOT.
Please change. In fact, according to Pietro Ottobrini at the Comune,
we should not be using Frazioni for ANY of those areas we have listed
on the site (I was right - HA), including Fallascoso. ALL of them
should be listed as Contradas. You can wait and talk with Dan about
this before changing anything, but this is what he told me.
OK, gotta go. Un baccione, Angie

In the handwritten diagram you did sometime before I left you have a
question about Rosario teti's wife Marialuigi. Her last name is
correct as Tavani. Their daughter Maria Giuseppa teti's Madrina was
Luisa (di Antonio) Aspromonte!! And Filomena's birth was March 28,
1914 in TP.
In your message to me of August 11, you ask for fotos of the info I
found - these will come when I return, but I did check Angelo
Porreca's birth date. It is correct as April 28, 1854.
Giovina Porreca's birth date is March 22, 1895 (mother G. di Marco).
Yesterday I sent you a printout of what I wrote up on Liberantonio
Porreca. See what you think. There is also something for Lee in the

Yes, a statue with you know what in an upward position!!!
I have Cristina's birth as October 16, 1897. And Nicola (of M.
Giuseppe Teti) as April 16, 1908. You are probably right about the
other children. Given his proclivity for every 2 years, I should be
able to find the others.
Have to check on the Luigis - I think one is a mistake on my part.

Porreca, Mariano (b. 28 DEC 1910, d. 1937)
Note: Mariano lived in his mother's house with his family on ContradaSologna (pennadomo?). Subsequently in the mid 1930's he had his ownhousehold on Corso Umberto. Mariano was killed in a war in Spain in1937, and is buried in the cemetery in Torricella Peligna.

According to records found by Angela Di Berardino in 2005, the date ofMariano's marriage was 18 Jan 1930, although Italina's family had toldme she was married 28 April 1929. Perhaps one date was a civilmarriage and one was a church marriage. Their first child, Maria, wasborn 18 Feb 1931.
