Rosa Ficca's younger brother is Mauro Ficca (born 5/26/1861). Mauro
Ficca is my Gr,Gr Grandfather. So Rosa Ficca and Angelo Porreca are
my great, great Aunt and Uncle. That would make Camillo my cousin.
Which then makes us cousins! I found some of this information on
FamilySearch.org (the latter day saints website.) Let me know if this
makes sense in your family tree. I can provide more information to
the entire Ficca side of your family.
My great grandmother was Maria Vincenza Ficca. She was the daughter
of Mauro Ficca. She was an incredible woman. I remember her. She
had a stroke and lost mobility in her left arm but you would never
have known it by what she did everyday. She did anything that anyone
with 2 arms and hands could do. She would wrap her cane around the
back of our necks and pull us to her so she could kiss us. She always
had candy in her pockets for us. She was an extremely hard working
woman. My mom used to say, "back in the old country, your grandmother
would have a baby and then be back in the fields working the same
day!" I believed her until I had my son. hehe
