Bilancio negativo quest’anno per i residenti a Torricella.

Dall’ufficio anagrafe del Comune di Torricella abbiamo questi dati :

Al primo gennaio del 2008 erano iscritti come residenti 1516.

Al 31 dicembre del 2008 invece solo in 1498. 18 residenti in meno.

Sono nati 12 bambini mentre 27 sono stati coloro che ci hanno lasciato per sempre. Più del doppio.

Inoltre ci sono stati 36 nuovi residenti, fra questi ci sono alcuni extracomunitari che hanno preso residenza a Torricella e torricellani che prima abitavano fuori e che nel 2008 sono tornati come anche altri che hanno acquistato casa e sono venuti ad abitare in paese. Al contrario 39 persone sono andate via, ossia hanno cambiato residenza, fra queste vi sono quelle che sono andate a lavorare lontano oppure che si sono sposate con qualcuno di fuori oppure quelli che per via dell’ICI hanno cambiato residenza per non pagare la tassa della seconda casa.

In ogni modo il bilancio quest’anno è negativo di 18 unità.

Tornando indietro possiamo fare un bilancio degli ultimi cinquanta anni e vedere come un paese pieno di gente e principalmente dedito all’agricoltura , con circa 4000 abitanti per i primi cinquantanni del 900, ha cambiato profondamente la propria economia e fisionomia a cominciare dal dopoguerra.

Nel 1951 si era in 3964

Nel 1961 si era in 3322 642 in meno – circa 64 in meno ogni anno.

Nel 1971 si era in 2334 988 in meno – circa 100 in meno ogni anno. Il decennio con più emigranti.

Nel 1981 si era in 2031 303 in meno – circa 30 in meno ogni anno. Si rallenta decisamente.

Nel 1991 si era in 1833 198 in meno – circa 20 in meno ogni anno. Si supera la soglia dei 2000

Nel 2001 si era in 1587 246 in meno – circa 24 in meno ogni anno. Continua lo spopolamento.

Nel 2009 siamo a 1498 89 in meno in 8 anni – circa 11 ogni anno. Lo spopolamento si sta arrestando ma quest’anno sono stati ben 18, un pò di più della media.

L’augurio e la speranza per il prossimo anno è che questa inesorabile emorragia si arresti e che si inizi ad invertire la tendenza.

Negative population growth in the year 2008 in Torricella.

From the Census office of the Town Hall of Torricella, we share the following data:

On the first of January, 2008, there were 1516 registered residents.

On December 31st, 2008, there were only 1498. 18 fewer residents.

12 children were born, while 27 are the ones who have left us forever. More than double.

Furthermore, we have 36 new residents, amongst these are foreigners, who have taken up residence in Torricella, and people native to Torricella who were living abroad and who have returned to the town in 2008, as well as people who have purchased a house in town.

On the contrary, 39 people have left, that is they have changed residence, amongst which are people who have left to go work abroad, or those who have married someone from another town, or those, that due to the ICI tax, have changed residence in order to avoid paying taxes for a second home.

In any case, the census for this year is lower by 18 people.

Looking back, we can produce a census for the last fifty years, to see how a town full of people, and generally dedicated to agriculture, with approximately 4,000 inhabitants in the first fifty years of 1900, has deeply changed its economy and face starting after the war.

In 1951, there were 3964 residents.

In 1961, there were 3322 residents, 642 fewer – approximately 64 fewer every year.

In 1971, there were 2334 residents, 988 fewer – approximately 100 fewer every year. The 10-year period with most emigrants.

In 1981, there were 2031 residents, 303 fewer – approximately 30 fewer every year. Decidedly a slower decline.

Our wish and hope is for next year: that this inescapable haemorrhage will stop and this trend will start to reverse.
