From the year 1550

La Madonna del Roseto ("The Madonna of the Rosegarden")

Three kilometers from the town, built in 1550 on a rock, as can be read from the  writing on the doorway, the Madonna del Roseto is an admirable testimony as well as an important visual document to the rural churches, even if lacking detailed artistic qualities.

The Sanctuary of the Madonna del Roseto is a destination of pilgrimage on Easter Monday, and on the last Saturday of May.

The pleasantness of the place, immersed in greenery, with a splendid view on the valley and mountains that rise and protect this specific structure, is furthermore a constant call for the numerous people who, during the year, go visit this little, yet important, monument, of which all of the inhabitants of Torricella are deeply fond.
