Poesie - Lelio Porreca

Pietre respiri chiusi

Pietre respiri chiusi
sparse sul dosso del monte.
Polvere di vita
ruggine di civiltà
pace di corpi martoriati
mestizia di sorrisi spenti
ondulano su voi rosse lacrime
i papaveri.
Gigli stanno stritolati
sotto la terra
mentre il giglio e il solo segno
l’iniziale visione
l’estremo rimpianto
l’eternità

Eppure furono civiltà grandiose.

Pietre respiri chiusi
erompono schegge
di richiami di sogni
d’arte d’amore
di pietà di affetti.
Sulla valle si spande un alito lieve
lo ferma sui colli la voce del fiume.
Spezzata dai macigni del monte
fervente e torbida
quasi la vita umana
eleva accordi
alle irraggiungibili altezze
si perde per le forre
verso la spietata maestosità del mare.

Stones Closed Breaths

Stones closed breaths
Scattered over the mountain’s back.
Dust of life
Rust of civilisation
Peace of martyred bodies
Sadness of lifeless smiles
Red tears ripple over you,
The poppies.
Lilies are crushed
Beneath the earth
Whilst the lily and the sun signal
The initial vision
The extreme regret
Of eternity.

Yet they were grandiose civilisations.

Stones closed breaths
Splinters burst forth
Of recall, of dreams,
Of art, of love,
Of compassion, of affection.
A light breath is spreading along the valley
The voice of the river stops it on the hills.
Broken by the mountain’s boulders
Ardent and turbid
Almost a human life
It raises agreements
With the unreachable heights
It loses itself in the ravines
Near the pitiless majesty of the sea.
